Greetings, from Colombia, South America. I am new posting to the forum, but have read before many threads. I have mostly stacked U.S. constitutional silver, and government bullion coins. However, I am inexperienced to older, British coins. I think they are very beautiful.

I am being offered one of these Fourpence coins, each for $150.000 Colombian Pesos ($37 USD/ £27 GPB/ €32 EUR).

One is from 1702, and the other from 1834. Between these two, which one would you chose? Would this be a good price considering the condition?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting choice. The 1834 is straight Maundy coinage, never intended for general circulation. (The circulation fourpence from that era would have Britannia on the reverse.) They are a niche collectable that I do not follow and are usually sought in sets of four (one pence to fourpence). A susch and with the marks I would say the price is a little high.
The 1702 is much more to my taste. This would have been a circulation coin at the time, as well as being used in the Maundy ceremony. Although the condition is less good, I would still be more inclined to this one than the 1834.

I like both, but would go with 1834 as it is a Maundy piece and has a bit more prestige in my opinion, also just 2 years before the Fourpence came out again as a normal circulation piece. This coin had Britannia on it.
