t360 Pillar of the Community United States 2703 Posts	Posted 01/04/2022 6:01 pm The legend on the obverse is something like: LVD.XIII(I?).D.G.F.ET.NAV.REX It could be a Nuremberg jeton picturing either Louis XIII or Louis XIV of France on horseback. It is stylistically similar to this one by Wolf Lauffer II. The man holding the snakes on the reverse may refer to some Greek or Roman mythology. Report this Post to the Staff

The reverse shows Hercules as a child, strangling the snakes that were sent to kill him in his crib.
