Thinking of firing a bullet for this one, but am concerned about the metal movement on the rev below the CC. Rim bruise, bump or patch? It did details for the scratch on the obv, so the patch may have been a wash.

Guessing just coincident scratching, but can you show us a close-up of the obverse in the same area?

This is the best I can do. The "patch" is on the rim and edge.

Cannot see any patch on the obverse side opposite the reverse area.

Awfully coincidental that the placement is right where mount would be (assuming Liberty side facing out)... though that could be a little extra metal that got folded over when struck?

Either way, it's subordinate to the scratch. Did you look at the NGC photos? Carppy as usual, but the scratch really jumps out at that angle, and it's in a highly focal spot.
