dsfreeworld Pillar of the Community United States 4337 Posts	Posted 01/06/2022 5:59 pm just arrived from the bay. I have never seen the uneven cut as I do on the left hand side of the obverse. It feels real, I think. These are my first ever currency purchases. I have no idea what's what here. any help appreciated. Its a huge ebay seller who is auctioning dozens of these at any given time. SteveInTampa Pillar of the Community United States 4637 Posts	Posted 01/06/2022 6:21 pm It appears to be a genuine 1953A $2 United States Note with poor centering. Poorly centered notes with skinny or fat margins are not uncommon for this series. I'm guessing you saw photos of the note before you bought it. Some novice collectors are often tempted to trim the fat margins to "even out" the note. Don't do it. Leave it be the way it is. Report this Post to the Staff
