To me it looks like the coin was struck normally, then a foreign material (looks like a Dog's tooth [canine]) and was allowed to be struck again. I can see the design inside that curved 'divot' quite well. But not worth the asking price I see on ebay. Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.
