I just received these bags: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P416S2...details&th=1I have a few 3-ring binders bulging with pages of coins - they are thick and heavy. These bags hold the binders (1 each) PERFECTLY. I'll have to see how they wear over the years but 8 mil plastic is about as thick as you can get in a bag. So far, I'm impressed with these for storing coin albums.

@BadThad, how thick are the binders you're storing in these? And how much wiggle room is left in the bag with the binders inside?
Thanks for sharing!

Quote: And how much wiggle room is left in the bag with the binders inside? I was curious of the same thing possibly for space for silica gel or another like substance. (I can't remember what it's called. Desca. . . Deca. . . ?) Edit: Looked it up desiccant!

Isn't Polyvinyl PVC which is what we don't want to store our coins in ? I use Hefty jumbo slider bags ,14 3/8 x 16'' 9.4 L they are PVC free and come 12 bags in a box . They are perfect for storing binder folders packed with coins and are much cheaper than the ones on Amazon .

The are polyethylene and contain no PVC. I had been using the Hefty slider bags too but the sliders wore out quickly and the bags tore over time. These are about 3x stronger than the hefty bags and seal better.

I keep most coins in Whitman Albums and then into Zip Lock bags. Never had a problem doing this. Have well over 100 Albums and no problems.
