The reflective surfaces mess with all CCD-based cameras. Part of the reason why proofs cannot be accurately graded from pictures. I found the trick is your light and it's location in relationship to the camera. If you get it right, you can illuminate the surfaces without "glaring out" the camera. In this pic I cheated and angled the camera and light...but I had to sacrifice the white balance (the background is white).
