I came across a bu roll of 1967 Lincoln cents and everyone is pretty good. As several of you know I am trying to complete my own set of submitted coins (expensive I know) . The 1965 thru 1967 years are tough with the SMS coins out there. I have succeeded in getting a 1966 in MS-66 . Just working on the other two years. There are a bunch of 1967 Lincolns like this in a roll and I just grabbed one to give you an idea of what I have. My question is "does this look like a SMS Lincoln to you?

It is not near sharp enough to be an SMS.

Looks to be at least 66RD, shot at 67.

Nice coin, but agree with BadThad. I'm thinking MS66-67 as well.

Thanks BadThad, I actually have several that are mark free. I was in a hurry this morning and grabbed one off the top for a pic. So maybe I can find a 67 . How do you stand on this year? Good?

it would have to come back at at least 67RD to be worth grading. I think the reverse strike will hold it to 66. I guess you need to decide if you want to take that risk. kind of like playing red or black on the wheel

I would not send this to grade because of the mark under the steps. If that mark were absent , would you then consider grading it. If you were trying for a 67? I really just grabbed one from the top five or 6 from the top of the roll. My odds are 1 in 50 that I grabbed the best one. I like the odds LOL

Not a SMS Lincoln . I agree to MS66 RD , reverse holds it back from 67 .

I'll have to physically check because I don't have a picture of it. It could be quite bad if I don't have a picture. I rarely photo coins unless I consider them a permanent part of my collection.
