Hello all, I have an opportunity to purchase this 1856 25c for my type set. I know, not the most ideal pics, and I don't have a picture of the reverse. What do you think the obverse would grade, is it cleaned, and good price to pay for this coin? Thank you.

I would be more concerned if it's authentic. Without seeing the reverse and the mint mark, unable to look up a possible value.

Looks authentic enough. I'd be concerned that it's been cleaned and retoned over time. There are a fair amount of abrasive marks indicative of having been scrubbed at some point. You might want to keep hunting.

i understand you only have an obverse shot but its impossible to grade a coin with only one side unless you assume the reverse is exactly the same without any issues. if you want to assume that then the coin looks like it could be in AU50-53 range
