My favorite commemorative half dollar is definitely the 1927 Battle of Bennington-Vermont. This is partly because I like cougars and also because one of my ancestors fought in the battle and for his service he received a land grant in Vermont. I inherited this coin from my grandfather. Edit: What would this coin grade at?

Looks beautiful - are you thinking of having it graded?

Just thinking a beautiful specimen like this needs permanent protection for the years ahead.

I'm not that good at grading, and I'm even worse grading from photos. To me, your coin looks lovely.

Perhaps try comparing yours to mine, a MS66+ with a CAC. If you do send it in, I'm rooting for you. Please keep us posted.

Steve

Lovely coin, with a lovely backstory! To me this is an easy MS-65 good chance higher...

Very nice looking example. Grades MS-something, not possible to be more specific with the photos provided. Has tremendous value as a family heirloom.
