Had our monthly club meeting this past week. One of my club mates is downsizing his stuff and "sold" me the remnants of his childhood Lincoln collection. There was a tattered old green folder with circulated cents from 1909 - 1958. Also, a tube of random cents, including eight older Canadian pennies, a stack of UNC wheats / early memorials, and one beautiful 1933-D in a plastic holder (I'm guessing MS64RB.) Among the UNC coins are about 8-10 1960 small dates. I gave him a token payment of one dollar for this pile. I just wanted to send a shout out to my buddy Steve for being so generous!

If you aren't in your local club, I think you should consider joining. It's rewarding in multiple ways.

I agree with every sentiment expressed! Steve is a generous guy. He is a quiet person and you have to wait and listen to what he has to say, but it is always interesting.

I've finished going through the Lincolns and there are a good number of them, especially early "D" and "S" coins that will be an upgrade for my Dansco set.

He must have pulled all the MS '60 SDs out of a roll at some point. I'm wondering if I can just pop them in 2x2 flips and trade them at the next show... There are so many that I just don't need to keep them, but I feel a little guilty about selling them. What would you do?
