Looks like the folks in the NGC forum where you posted this slug wake up earlier on Sundays than we do here at CCF. It appears they've more or less agreed it's a repro. I'd go along with that until you have a jeweler or local coin dealer test it (non-destructively, of course) for gold content. Plated replicas do exist,

Any date on the edge? There could also be a disclaimer there, such as "Copy" or "Replica."
