Hey folks,
Just curious as to why there are so little CCF Sales?
There used to be tons of sales and now there is very few.
I wouldn't mind selling a few things myself, but seeing as everyone is skittish, maybe I shouldn't.
Why has it changed dramatically, and should I be concerned myself of selling?

The number of active selling listings has not changed much in years. An active selling listing is one that has been posted for 60 days or less. Per selling rules, listings that have been posted for more than 60 days are moved to the ENDED sales forum. In the past, sold items and items over 60 days were not cleaned out very often, thus it may have appeared that there were more items. Currently you only see those posts that are active. I would invite you to give the selling forum a try. It costs nothing. Please read the selling rules before you post anything for sale.

CCF Member Sales are listed in the left hand column of every page (albeit at the bottom).

I often check the sales forum hoping in some cool coins for sale! But I also got the feeling that there are not many numismatic listings.. at least in the past year while I have been checking. Most seems to be for bullion or "stacking". Maybe people with high end numismatic prefer to try auctions and see their gains maximised? But the commissions must be tough.. Or maybe the security of in-person dealings? Still I think I would trust dealing with other more-or-less established members in the forum. I was planning on creating a want-list but I do wonder if it will be useful

At some point, I want to sell some items here ... I feel that the community is a good place to "share". Certainly can't beat the selling cost ... I would like to hear some Members experiences with selling ... decent prices realized ? Compared to Gray Sheet ? Compared to sold listings on ebay ?

I'm potentially interested in this for selling but have never sold a coin, so will follow thread for feedback.

I use the sale section to pass on stuff to other collectors that I think deserve a second lease in life. I don't look at it as a place to make money so generally I run auction type listing.

Not that I am complaining but I would probably sell but can't. I am more a lurker/reader than poster so at this rate I'll be eligible to sell in 2027.
