1944 D Penny Strike Through Error?

I honestly do not know if this is PMD or a strike-through error. There are several circles on the reverse that look like they were struck through a certain object. There are also several strings of copper embedded in the coin on the obverse. This could have been someone just messing with the coin, but I really do not have a clue.

PMD, there is nothing there that could happen when the coin was struck.
Those "strings" of copper are from displaced metal from the damage.

Agree, post-strike damage. Not a strike through--given the images posted.
