Ugh I know the critics I'm going to get for this one. The manner of how I stumbled upon this coin is very peculiar and I've kept it to myself the last couple of years while keeping an eye on any others that have turned up. So far... next to nil. From what I've read there should be a few and it's possible that they were dispersed as a "game" to see who could find them which has been done before apparently. I'm so intrigued by this coin and want to see what other people think about it being the real deal! Trust me, I've already accepted its most likely not the Canadian misprint but hey it can't hurt to look into it a little bit!

It is an impaired proof quarter. (Circulated and still a proof coin as it was struck as a proof coin) but not a high grade coin.

Very confused about what you mean by the critics "getting you for this" or the weird way you stumbled onto it, which you never elaborated, or why you think coins like this are part of a game, or what the heck you mean by "Canadian misprint"... frankly, I'm confused by everything but the picture of the coin, which is just a normal 1970-S proof that was spent into circulation. Coins like this were struck by the mint as collector pieces that could be purchased directly from them at a premium, but many eventually get mistaken (usually by a non-coin collecting family member of the original buyer) for an ordinary shiny coin and get spent into circulation, where, hopefully, another collector is able to find it.

. Are you referring to the 41 over 70 strike? Use the search box upper left of page for lots of useful info.
