Pixs are a little fuzzy but I'm leaning towards PMD/damage (coin took a hit)

I'll have to agree with Greasy, that it is just coincidental damage

Oh I'm afraid to say....lol coin police might come and take them all away. My desk my phone and one of those lights clamped to the desk that bends. And whatever I can find to prop coins up on to try to get a good picture. I'm trying to gwt a new camera hoping that would be better. Unfortunately nerve disorders keep my hands shaky. Between that and seizures I'm not the most stable person to hold a camera. Hmmmm thats the 2nd time ive mentioned that. Not looking for sympathy its just facts. I have a phone holder stand but it doesn't get far enough from coins to focus well so I try putting it on books to raise it up but we'll you see what happens lol

Are you using your phone as a camera, or a real camera? If using a real camera, do you have a tripod you can mount it to and set a timer to get the picture? If using a phone, you can pile up a bunch of books to get it high enough from the coin, then get the lens of the camera over the edge of the books and again use the timer to get a picture. Keep the light up above the coin and use a thin piece of white paper or tissue to diffuse the light to reduce glare.

Using books as a prop is a good method and set a few second delay on your phone would also help. You can also buy a clip-on magnifier for your phone for not much money. John1

Ah Dearborn to the rescue again lol. Also again thank you. But for this I am not sure what you mean. Keep the light above the coin. Do you mean as in up high or as in move it tilcoin is almost in shadow sorry just want to be sure. Also you and John both mention the timer. What is the reason for that? Oh and it's my phone for now until I get a camera but I hadn't thought about a tripod that's a for sure on my list now. John I will look into that. Have tried downloading some apps with magnifier but just really no good. Or any better than phone camera really

Or any better than phone camera really The reason for using the timer is that your camera/phone will be steady when the picture is taken, which should provide a sharper image. Place your phone onto a stack of books, or something similar. With the timer set, when you press the shutter it will count down the time set, and then take the photo hands free.
