The cheek and the field have numerous contact marks. I would say MS63 at best.
Rest in Peace

I was thinking MS61 or 62 and PL possible. Looking at the census for this one PL would be a big win...

edit to add - I have a 3C2 which is the later die state and I don't think it is anywhere near PL but now I'll have to find my images. Possibly the dies were freshened at some point between 3C1 and 3C2?

better than average strike for the year. surface preservation AVG-. luster appears broken across various areas. surface preservation AVG-. reverse nice and will help a little but I have it at MS62 chance at PL designation.

This one came back MS-62
Personally I thought it would get MS-61 Prooflike as its incredibly reflective . Much more than my 78 S PL that was in the same submission
Rest in Peace

The TPG's tend to be tough on Morgans with PL surfaces compared to a few years ago. I thought this one had a good shot at PL as well. Could it be the obverse field between K6 and 9 that held it back?

Ill have to look at it again when she gets back from JB Dave but that I think is just the camera shadow. I rememeber this one being way more reflective than anything else in the batch and more so than my PL coins that are slabbed. Now it did not have much contrast between the field and devices but was super reflective. I remember thinking I didnt want to shin this in the sun thinking id blind someone haha.

the surfaces appear to be reflective enough to pull the PL. however based on the photos it appears that some areas such as the area in front of the profile that looks abraded
