1953 Small date NSF . Most likely an early business strike not a SP or PL .
Since this issue is high relief , the first couple of hundred strikes tend be nice Cameo to heavy Cameo coins . Typical weakness prevails on the centre upper left hand part of the shield and lower left Crown of the reverse.
This is due to the fact of the high relief obverse and
insufficient striking pressure .
They did make both SP and PL coins in 1953 . They are somewhat scarce and not readily available .
The toning pattern on your particular coin , leads me to believe it was once in a Cardboard RCM set of UNC Business strike coins sold by the Ottawa Mint in 1953 .
Does not appear to be any wear on yours , likely 60 /62 quality based
on today's standards . Probably nicer in hand than the photo shows .
