Recently gotten into currency collecting (much to my bank account's dismay!) and "Bank Note Reporter" lists some issues with KL#s in addition to Friedburg #s. I'm assuming it's some sort of reference work and would love some info, about it. Thanks!

This is from my friend's (Clay Irving) website.

"Two numbering systems are used to uniquely identify currency, Friedberg (FR) Numbers (from Robert Friedberg), or Krause-Lemke (KL) Numbers (from Chester L. Krause and Robert F. Lemke)."

Hope that helps.

Oh, and welcome to CCF.

Thanks Steve, so it's just KM #s for currency, got it. BTW I've been reading the posts on this forum from yourself and some of the other regular contributors and it's really helped me up the currency learning curve. Thanks again to you and everyone at CCF!
