Only the facts mamm: 1.e-check for large purchase clears SDbullions bank after 5 business days - which always includes a weekend so it was 7 days. 2. SDBullion ships bullion through Fedex provides tracking number tracking shows Fedex accepted and estimated delivery of 2 days. 3. After 4 days of no tracking updates I get itchy. 4. Day 5 I write SDBullion they email me back saying basically "stay calm". 6. I don't (read SDbullions user agreement) so call Fedex and get a very smart highly motivated person in a far away land who assures me package is in Memphis and "red flagged for expedited action". 7. Day 9 no tracking updates just "accepted picked up OH." write SDBullion told to "be calm". 8. Day 13 (a Saturday) USPS slips a C.O.D. $16.85 postage due pinkslip in my mailbox. Office was closed...grrrrrrrrr. 9. Monday go to post office hand them slip, they rummaged around and pull out a box weighing 6 pounds about to explode from every angle. Its the silver? has to be? says stone decour OH. so I pay (it was). 10. Write SDBullion requesting A. check for $16.85 or B. coupon for credit on said amount next purchase. Ain't heard back, no record of this package anywhere on my USPS or Fedex account except for the original "accepted Fedex picked up" note: I didn't sign anything at USPS just I.D. and pink slip and away I went. Neither shipper shows I picked up shipment as of writing. Yes, am happy I got my silver - same purchase is approx 200+ bucks more at this time. Any shipment imo over 199 bucks should not entail me participating in whackamole delivery and here's my gripe "when I buy PM its my PM and I want it now". Lets see what SDBullion says...I am pessimist towards them for reasons other but curious what they may do to unruffle feathers. APMEX is 3% higher but in 27 orders ZERO issues last 40 months. SDBullion...if you read this your on "double secret probation". End of manifesto

Quote: APMEX is 3% higher but in 27 orders ZERO issues last 40 months. I believe you have charted your purchase plan going forward. Also like the way APMEX tracks your purchase history and updates the spot value of your stack, of purchases made through them anyway.

I would go with the extra 3% just to ease my mind. Milestone coming up, contest time John1

This doesn't sound right from FedEx to USPS plus a COD which you have to pay, and package damaged?
Hope you will get all your PM, and I'd file a BBB report for sure.

Once in a while things get mixed up or lost. Some products I've purchased online have been handed over from one company to another, UPS or FEDEX during shipment then to USPS when they arrive in my city, USPS to my home. I don't know why they do this, maybe cheaper for the seller. Years ago I bought an ancient coin from a German seller. I got the tracking number, the coin got lost. The seller refunded my money. Over FIVE MONTHS later the coin arrived in my mail box, no tracking history. I contacted the seller and paid him back. He was very happy I was honest with him. I have no clue were the coin was all those months, just glad I finally got it.

FedEx Surepost? FedEx takes it to a local post office and then injects it into the USPS system for last mile.

Used to be called FedEx SmartPost, the budget option for lower weight shipments no insirance.
FedEx transported your package as close as they could to their local hub and then dropped at USPS and let them sit on it for a few days.

I'd bet your package was in Memphis around the time Memphis had a bad ice storm. It was quite bad, many people without power, downed trees and branches everywhere.

Received a very nice letter from Fedex "your request for shipping fee refund denied" darn! however I did not request a refund from them so they are 3 blind mice. SDBullion issued me a coupon for $20.00 off my next purchase that was nice of them. Since I bought the order in Jan. silver has went up from $21.42 to $25.77 and premiums also...same amount right now would be $268.00 more. I ant buying right now, lucky I even got the parcel and that's that.

2 weeks would be the average, so even thought your check cleared in 14 hours, all online vendor will hold it for 5 days before clearance, unless you have done extensive business with them, and then they will ship it out depending on what method you decide to used. I agree SDBullion mess up in shipping and should improve their quality control, at least they make up by giving you some credit.

All carriers are a roll of the dice lately. Amazon roiled the market with their own delivery vehicles and messing with the franchise owners they suckered in USPS is a mess anything that goes through Atlanta I cross my fingers to see where they will send it
