Annealing On 2022 Quarter? - Coin Community Forum

I don't know much about coins or errors but thought this might be considered annealing? Bottom quarter is just for reference of "regular" piece. This helps me understand why the first time I saw the quarter the stained area was obviously darker than the rest of the quarter but the next day in different light I may not have noticed anything if I hadnt already seen it look darker the night before.
