I've checked everything via Variety Vista. I tried to verify everything. The pics aren't perfect but they should do if you zoom in. A little glare on the MM. I'm sure it's correct. Thank you for your time.

Firstly, thank you for posting a link to the variety. Most can't be bothered.

Secondly, your mintmark is lower than the variety [ddo-1 mm is even with the bottom of the 9] and your mm is leaning forward, while the variety mm is leaning back.

I was anticipating that observation. There has been some damage to the date and MM.
SW corner of MM pushed E-NE
The highlight/glare at base is an accurate representation of placement.
I always check MM placement first, no match, I move on. I'm confident all other diagnostics are dead on. Compare dot and die scratches by "OD" they're identical. The doubling on the 2 in the date is be also a solid indicator that matches.

Looks like you will have to work on taking better up-close photos. Also, when refering to a referance site,it is best to take your photos exactly like they presented on that site. In this case the ST in trust and the 2,usable close-ups of them might help us help you.

Thank you again for the sound advice. I'm going to repost pictures this morning once I finally achieve a usable photo. I do recognize and appreciate the patience. I'm personally 95% certain I've got this 1962 D pegged. I just need good pictures. Here goes nothing.

Using phone only (for first time) to do this so this is trial-and-error. I made an overlay of the variety date over your date pic and lined up the mm the best I could. Hopefully this shows that when the mint marks are lined up, the dates are not. When you get better pics this may change.

It is generally not useful to post full obverse & reverse pics for this even though some on this site will tell you that you need to post them. Just the doubling and some markers if available.

Just remember that the variety comes before the markers. Markers don't mean anything without the variety.

Good luck, I'm pulling for you to get this.

Here is a more accurate overlay lining up the dates -- The MMs don't line up.

Looks more like the normal mintmark with a problem.
