IMO it needs a bit of tweaking but it's a big step out of the twentieth century where Canadian numismatics has been stuck.

From the opening photo/comparison, it's an attempt, but not a "bible" for reference. They need to adapt to include an extra marker or 2 that shows some easy to see markers to make ID's easy and fast. I don't know about the first photo of the Obv 1, but it may be a 1a/1, not a straight Obv 1. Theyt need to make sure that they photo an 1876 to show a true Obv 1, without the '81' and 2's that have overpunches.

They also missed explaining the difference between the Obv 3's and 3a's (their invention). Almost all of the Obv 3's (the mumps portrait) have the long extended crossbar on the N's for Obv 3's (or 3a that they have there). It's the easiest way to tell an Obv 2 from a 3.

However, a great effort to clarify some things. Where did you find this CaC section? I can't get it from the CaC site, but it IS on the translated French site.

It is nice, but they need to over brighten the images a bit, and up the contrast, so folks can better see the differences on the main image.

It's a good start. Need to correct some errors: the titles LIPS and BUSTLINE are mixed up. I agree with Okie on adding some other markers.

Edit to add: another marker to watch is the shape of the eyelid.

I would like to see it done for all the denominations not just the large cents.
