So I Ran Across This 1927 Wheat Penny Last Night, Is This PMD Or Something Else?

Looking through all these wheat pennies, I came across this '27 wheatie late last night. The 7 in the date looked more like a backwards check mark, rather than a 7! Upon closer examination, you can see the raised portion of where a normal 7 would be in the date, but the much lighter area, or damaged, portions of the 7 is what initially caught my eye! Then looking at the rest of the obverse, you can see some stuff that appears to be obvious PMD, but then others, not so obvious! Just wanted to post some pics to get the CCF's opinion:

That 7 threw me off a bit! What do yall think is happening there? Something scratched the 7 everywhere but top right corner?
