1955-S-RPM-#-2-Stage-I-Should-This-Be-Submitted-As-An-RPM?

This 1955-s is a very good coin only one tiny scratch in hair with loupe no other marks can been seen with 5 pwr loupe. the color is typical of a 1955-s cent kind of golden or fresh copper color. Would the coin be more valuable as certified a RPM in high grade or just as valuable as a straight grade. Although the 1955-s in 67 is not very valuable. The coin has way less hits the 1955-s over s in 67= pictured on the PCGS website. This coin has pop just can't show it with scope. my camera just shows a blur now even with the AWB setting. I can't ever focus now

Well, I think I can see a 67 here at least , and I can see a rpm on the bottom serif of the S. Also 2 die breaks at both 5's are nice, and that die break/cud on the right wheat stalk is plain as day .

It's definitely the RPM # 2, has every die marker. Since a 1955-s is one of the least valuable ms-67's of the 50's is it more valuable as a RPM. I can't find info on value of a high grade RPM. The pic is of 30 pwr magnification. There are no scratches I can see with a 5 pwr loupe. The book says this coin is a VLDS coin therefore a weaker strike. Although I am very new to the grading game, for the most part luster and marks seem to be the key. It will take me a bit longer with the weaker strikes and grading.

Nice looking fields, lots of character with all the die cracks and add in the RPM - worth submitting. My only concern is the flatness of the jaw, cheek and temple area - may effect eye appeal in hand.

Lock for 66, 67 if it shines, cartwheels and has eye appeal.

Consider straight grade to PCGS with a photo, that you later edit and crop to highlight the RPM.

Also, if this a VLDS, coupled with the weakness in strike in many aspects of the bust (behind ear, cheek, and jaw), collar, lapel. Then on reverse, there is the expected weak strike on the O.

IMHO, it can't grade higher than MS 66.
