PCGS Holder Sides Not Completely Transparent

From my research, this is a 2012-2014 PCGS Holder. I have not had this version of one before, but is it common to have these non-transparent sections close to the middle of each side like in this picture?

Several of my PCGS Ike holders have spots like this. I believe it is just an artifact from the sonic sealing process.

Ah, that makes sense. I figured it was from the sonic sealing, I just hadn't seen it before on my other PCGS holders. Not a big fan of the look when that happens, but I guess it is about the coin and not the plastic...

I agree. They bothered me at first, but over time I learned to look at the coins and not even notice it.
