1987 Proof Set Penny Error?

I bought a 1987 proof set and found an unusual error on the penny. I have looked all over the internet to try and find the same example but to no avail. Hoping for a little insight from the community, thanks!

Looks like a problem with the original metal. Lots of problems like that in the 80's right after they changed material in 82.

Linear plating bubbles, most people do not collect these as it's a normal mint occurrence and seen by collectors as a defect more than an "error".
