Item no 154743255321 is a rare dot star coin and this is my reply. Hmm for a collector you never have to seem to have heard of a "die crack" mistake before. I am an expert in Jefferson nickels but that is what it appears to be to me. Like you said over nine million 1947 maple leaf nickels we're made with a "round" dot on them. If you actually looked at my auction you would have seen that the coin I am selling has a "Star" marking on it. That makes it 1 out of nine million nickels as far as I have been able to determine. Which like I said earlier makes it a hugely valuable coin. I need to raise the price. This coin is much rarer than I thought.

I think that someone needs to take a Rorschach test (the ink blot test) to interpret what is seen on the coin. Just because a D/C or die chip or Die Deterioration may leave some strange things behind, doesn't make something "rare". Everyday coins are just manufactured metallic objects, spewed out in the millions, just like nails and paper clips or bobby pins and not every single one looks like its brother. His chosen verbiage may land a sucker, but I hope not.
