I have a 1951 S Nickel with what looks like an inverted "s" in the Cents. I have a couple of pictures, I tired to take a clear picture (the nickel is dirty). Please advise.

The first one was taken up close and the second one was from a little further away.

Just damage to the area that displaced metal. No inverted S.

What you are saying is impossible to happen during the striking of the coin.
Just damage.

The perfectly normal S is still there, underneath the damage. It's just a coincidence that the rim of one of the damage craters lines up with the top of the normal S, to make the top of the S kind of look like the bottom of a backwards S.
