It's not a "coin". Nor is it technically a "token". It's a medal of some kind. I would assume it was originally produced uniface, and thus perhaps intended to be mounted onto something.

There were school Administrative support medals handed out with an engraving on the other side for person's name and achievement and years of employment. This was probably one of those medals. Pretty hard to find because I assume it was a standard medal that was stamped.
