Hi Guys I just found this 1969 Lincoln D looks like DD with the FG initials were punched off center and top some of the F is punched underneath the G.

This is just light wear from die polishing. A normal event in the minting process. The FG isn't "off-center," it's simply one of the most delicate parts of the design and the first to be distorted by polishing. The entire design is transferred from the hub to the die, so it would be impossible to have just the FG be off center.

Between the Machine Doubling and the partly polished die, you have a normal coin. Not a doubled die. Remember the doubling on the die has to be created by the hub. A copy of the devices would have to show spread on the centers of the devices. It happens, but not on this coin:

Note the enlarging on them will be on the centers of the initials. Machine Doubling alters the outside/inside edges of the devices. The spread will enlarge the devices on a doubled die.

Over polishing makes them smaller:

Thanks to you both! Yes I noticed MD especially on the E in "Liberty." My trouble is not so much with the distinction doubling of the Letters and numbers with the tell-tale signs of serifs it's with the doubling of the one's like the fat doubling when there are no letters or numbers displaying serifs or obvious doubling on coins like the 1969s and 1955. And the FG was puzzling to me. Study! Study!! Study!!! It's a learning curve but a fun one! Thanks again guys!
