I'm thinking it's not worth grading due to the wear in the eagle chest and leg. XF?

3rd lowest mintage of the series...recent auction prices for EF-45 around $200.
Should you send it in for grading...? Maybe not on her own...but if you have a batch to submit...would help spread out the cost of shipping and insurance.
I like her at EF-45
Pretty coin and Thanks for sharing!

Honestly I would have to say no. While it is pretty and desirable, I see a coin that has probably been cleaned -- these pics can't substitute for a scope and I could be wrong, but those surfaces don't look natural.

The other reason I would keep it as is: while 38-Ds have a premium market because the objective mintage is low, they are in fact commonly available, so that premium never appreciates much. They were widely saved out of circulation. There are dozens of circulated 38-Ds listed on ebay at any given time.

Might make AU-50. Not worth grading, but a nice example!

solid XF45 good shot at AU50

a little too much glare to determine surface originality. my initial thought was possibly lightly cleaned but I'm not sure enough to call that

would I have it slabbed? no

AU-50 all day long. Nice coin, but I would not send it out unless you had a lot to send out as stated prior, to spread out the cost per coin for slabbing.

Problem free AU-53. Not worth the slabbing costs.
