I recently picked this 1941 S Washington quarter up and I am pretty sure it is the FS-501, Coneca-002, wexlers WRPM-001. The only die markers are the curving NW/SE die scratches around and below the mintmark which look exact to me. Thanks for looking.

congratulations on your pick. lots of die scratches matching up for RPM-002.

BUT the Cherry Pickers' Guide talks about mintmark style.... VV needs to remove the X-Ref of FS-501?

Yes I missed that, the FS-501 is the large S not an RPM. I did not look in my CherryPickers Guide. Thanks levelsofmadnes!

The partial MM above almost looks like it was a large S...Is it possible it started out as a large S and then the small S was repunched lower and to the left for some reason? Just looking at the shape it resembles the large S to me more, but I don't know.
