Hi again!

Found this and was wondering how I can find out what year it is. I think it is from the 90's. Mostly sure of that, but it could be from the 80's.

Does this have value beyond face value?

Thanks

weak strike in that area? Both obverse and reverse are looking to be the same weakness. I agree, need to see the edge

Your pics are good enough, I think it is one of these: 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 on the serious note, 99 would be my guess because on that year there were wide spread issues with struck thru. and Die wear on most denominations in particular,Quarters and Dimes.

Bwill, a little OT but you said you took that with your phone. When I try to take pics with mine they are too large to upload to CCF. Curious as how you do yours.

Did you use the free image optimizer?

Looks like a Struck Through Grease. With all the fest of the coin not affected, the dies may have been wiped down with a cloth, moving more of the grease to the outer edges of the dies, filling on those areas on the dies. Nothing real special about this coin, but another educational piece to show and tell with a new collector.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully, I'm not being overly bothersome with the "what's this and is it worth anything" posts. I'm learning new things all the time and I appreciate you all sharing your wisdom.

Oh, and yes, I used the image optimizer.
