Its Proxy season, for all those not aware is that the financial district is sending out their annual reports, Proxy Statements and more Supplements. I'm just poking in and out busy at work even on the weekend, and as usual giving my quick comments.

Even though I would agree the chance are near zero for a SMS set, but the silver price is great.

I agree with this and Macs comment about being a great deal for $7. Congrats on the "upgrade" to silver.

Also, Silviosi's comment about the plastic being easy to open is right on. The original owner probably put together a "birthday" set and this was the easiest way to do it back then. Someone may have considered a 1967 "group" of coins as pocket change and the plastic holder had more value to them.

Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I think you made a good buy at $7, regardless of the outcome. GOOD LUCK!

petespockets55,I am going to agree with you on your theory so I did open the case and after all the comments and some research I now know the set is not sms but just a unc. or mint set. treasure hunting is the about the dream of finding something of value or even educational. The cent has a strike thru, the nickel full steps, the dime went in my dansco book the quarter was in better condition than what I had in my now complete unc.Quarter book from 1932 to present including proofs the half dollar I will just put in a 2by2 for now. thank you all for you help.

the most interesting coin on those sets are the Quarters. Look for type B reverse (uncommon) or because many was struck in the end of the year is believe that around 10K was struck on clad planchet.
