Hi all,

Some one can tell me from when the Mint put taxes on the coins they sell and also how they stipulate the shipping is free for members if it more then 100$ but my bill NO.

Appreciate any input.

I agree. This is posted in the "Canadian Coins and Colonial Tokens" forum.

The Mint ( Royal Canadian Mint) has always charged sales tax (in your case, like me, GST and QST). Unless the item is .999% pure (silver or gold), you get hit with 5% and then 10% tax.

Unlike some other out-of-province retailers, the Mint insists on tacking on the QST to the non-.999%-pure items of my orders, even though they are located in Ontario, and the shipping is to Quebec.

The shipping is usually free, but there are some conditions applied to some items. Your best bet is to call the Mint and speak to one of their sales droids. They may better explain the shipping to you.
