Hello - I am completely new to this hobby. Been collecting old coins for a long time but this was my first bank roll! Very excited to start learning!

I found this 2021 Crossing the Delaware Quarter and it has this line that goes across the entire quarter from the bottom edge to the top. I marked it in the attached pictures. Is this an error or just damage?

I think it could be an error because it seems raised and is almost completely uniform in a line from edge to edge.

I think it could be damage because the other side does not have the same marking and it certainly could have been made from a sharp edge swiping across it quickly.

Would love to know what you all think!

Not an error, it is a scratch. Usually die cracks are not that straight
and a crack that long would be raised more.

if the line is raised above the adjacent areas, it's likely a die crack, if not, then a scratch

Could still be a scratch if metal was displaced upward to feel "raised".

But if this was from an OBW roll, there should be another (or more) examples of the same die crack in that roll? A closer view would help us to see if it is raised, or it has an insuse mark into the coin. Just can't see for sure from the images provided.
