It looks like a die crack on both sides of the coin. At first wondered if it were a die clash, but it doesn't match the designs of either die. So I'm feeling it is a crack die, on both faces of the dies.

Signs of cleaning? (Parallel lines on the obverse, left of the face; some indication of whizzing by the bend lines on the reverse).
