1956 D Penny Without Raised Rims

I found a 1956-D penny and the rims look like they were never upset. The devices and field of the coin sit higher than the rim on both sides and the penny is the same width as a regular Wheat penny. It also weighs 3.25 grams. Thoughts?

@blue, first welcome to CCF. Second, rather than a mint error, you cent has been damaged, most likely from being an Encased Cent at one time.
