1884 One Cent Portrait - Grade With Sellers Photo

It's an Obv 1, but always show the neck truncation (point) where it meets the bead to know the Obv for sure. Without better photos, I'd say VF-20 maybe 20+. Phil310 Pillar of the Community United States 1101 Posts	Posted 03/22/2022 08:53 am I don't think the obverse photo and reverse photo are of the same coin. I found the lot of 16 coins in the sold ebay listings and it looks like the obverse photo is of an 1881. The foot of the N is not as thick as the one on the 1884. I think the appearance of extra length on the foot is from the photos not being clear. I hope for your sake I am wrong, but that's what it looks like to me. Report this Post to the Staff

Sammeli Valued Member Canada 342 Posts	Posted 04/01/2022 1:48 pm Okie and Phil you guys where correct ,what looked like a longer serif was on the 1881. Saving grace here is the other 81 was a spur on the n in Regina so not a great loss. Thanks for your input Report this Post to the Staff
