Is this one cent worth grading? If it is what would it be worth?

Unfortunately no, and 1 cent as to its value for the most part.

In that condition, it is worth the copper value, about 3 cents.

dquiroz68,
Why do you think it is worth grading?

I thought it would have some value after looking through Heritage website. I come here to ask for your opinions since I've become a member of your community. Many coins match mine pretty darn close and sold from a couple of hundreds to thousands. I am a member of heritage also. I'm not trying to be a collector, I'm trying to find money..that's the real truth..i have only a handful of Canada and great Britain coins that I want to get rid of. I live in a very small town and the closest coin dealers are 2 and more hours away. It seems like I'm wasting my time and I don't know what to do with these coins
And I have US coins galore that I'm sure are a waste of time also. I think I'll go back to cake decorating at least there I will make a few bucks.

Those coins on Heritage would all have been certified and high grade.
The difference between a damaged coin and say a MS65R is about $2500.00

Your coin is damaged and worth essentially nothing.. With shipping and cert costs, it would cost you over $100 just to get a grade. If you can't actually SELL a coin for $150, it doesn't pay to get it graded. If you are using Heritage sales as a comparison to items that you may have, a difference of just one point once a coin is UNC (MS 60) may may make a difference of 2,5, to 10 times what's listed for value. If you are contemplating trying to sell any coins, learn how to grade first, then use ebay or auction actual sold prices to gauge whether something is even worth sending it in to get graded. Your coin is worth 2 1/2 cents for the copper.
