Hi all. I've attached some photos of a 1960d Jefferson nickel. Just curious why it has such a golden tint to it. Thanks.

Looks like you need to replace that 2x2 and make sure to flatten the staples. Nickels do sometimes tone a golden color. What are the black spots? Best to take coins out of 2x2's before taking photos. Slight chance it is gold plated.

As John1 said, please change that 2x2.
Silver coins sometimes will tone gold depending on the environment.
I have several that have toned a nice golden shade.

My first reaction is natural toning. I too have a number of similar nickels. The lighting used in the photography may have contributed some (just a little) to the tint, judging from the look of the 2x2.

Caddis,
Your white balance might be out of adjustment as well.

I'll place my bet on '' Plated '' , though I don't know what's with the black spots .

Many nickels tone to a golden color. I have several. I think it is due to the Copper/nickel mix reacting the the environment. The 2x2 as noted looks old and should be updated to a new one. Please remove your coins from any 2x2 prior to taking pictures as the Mylar covering can produce some of the toning we see also.
