I was wondering if there is a High or Low "2" Variety for a 1952 Penny? If so would the Penny on the left be a Low or Normal "2" and the Penny the right be a High "2". Thanks again!

From the computer screen, they look alike, or the same, to me. The space to the stem looks the same.

It appears to be higher on the photo on the right but it looks like tha 5 took a hit and pushed the bottom downward so it makes the 2 look higher

So I went through all my other 1952 Pennys and maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but in this pic the first 2 vertical rows on the left have the Lower "2" and the other 2 vertical rows on the right have the High "2".....I think lol. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. Thanks again.

No, eyes do not play you tricks. On that year all the digit 2 is very light high by the alignment with 9 and 5. This it is normal due to the design of the digits. then other think it is the Die age witch can play with the thickness of the digit and then the circulation flattering.

They all look alike to me. To me, the coins with the sharper, deeper strike will look different than a somewhat weaker strike, making things appear higher or lower.

Yes I noticed the high 2 low 2 years ago. Most seemed to be the low 2 but the more one finds they seem to be about the same amount. In hand the 2 is either level with the bottom of the 5 or very much higher on others. Even on mint state coins seem to be the case. I can not see the space difference by eye and did not study it very far because no one seemed too excided about it.

I went to the PCGS registry site to see if I could find multiple high end 1952 cents to compare the 2 but only found the low 2. I have seen the high 2 in mint state from other members here but would have to search for hours. Any help would be great.

The trick is this on the photo. Upper is line with 952 and bottom the 1 with 2 and 9 with 5. I am wrong?

The Prominence sale VI archive #186 1952 MS-66 RD has doubling The Prominence sale V archive #103 1952 MS-66 RD has doubling. I notice the bottom of the doubling lines up with the 95 and the actual strike is higher. I have not seen many doubled 952.
