I found this coin several years ago in change. I recognized it looked different than the other. The other are a shinier white, while the other is a dark in color. I added pictures. Is it an error worth submitting for grade?

. Are you referring to the color? The darker one might be an aneling issue or just toning.

Guessing it's just environmental toning. Can't imagine a premium for this.

Lets not forget one of them spent 24 years in circulation and the other about 10 minutes.

I will post here two photos of the same coin. One before and second after the conservation procedures. The Ni clad coins in cello will become yellowish due to the cello packing machine. This toning is what we see on OP coin. The black spots are just dirt accumulate during the years and manipulation.

I post this because many mixt-up the annealing colors with the time and environment toning.

I'm in with environmental toning on the '98 quarter. I've come across similar looking clad coins over many, many years of roll searching.
