Just purchased. I have researched it and it is supposed to be silver. But I get a specific gravity of ~8.65. 1/2 dollar-sized. Sometimes it's hard to get complete info on privately-minted medals.

One note:

1) My understanding is that the medal is a base metal composition - copper-nickel - not silver.
