I see no evidence of a doubled die. That could be any number of things but do not feel it is hub doubling.

No known doubled die with that type of doubling. You can submit it to see where it goes.

Good luck.

The upper end of the proposed doubling seems much too blunt. Looks like a bit of displaced metal. PCGS would not care a hoot about it as they only are interested in major stuff already given attributes. Normally such a thing would go to Wexler to be determined but unsure if he is accepting coins right now.

I think that might be normal for the 1958 cents, master die issue?

Probably related to what was once thought of as a 8/7 but is just a series of gouges on the master die: https://doubleddie.com/203969.html

Just look at the image of 1DO-001 you posted and the one of the 1958-D cent in that link above I shared, looks like all of them have it.

This should lay this subject to rest. This post is from a former coppercoins.com attributer.

No it really isn't I don't know why we delayed to rest The type of coin when I have posted up there is a copper coin with mine or not mine

I tried to make a video guys there's another one for you here's the r and I'm taking a picture of it on the screen

1958-D--DDO--You-Guys-If-It-Is-I-Can-Not-Find-Cent

Now in the center of the r where it comes down from the circle now isn't there something in there now wouldn't it be considered almost a double die with the :-) underneath and another leg going through the bottom

Did you look at CentSation's link? http://www.lincolncentforum.com/for...0s-thru-1979

Bob Piazza is an attributer with CONECA and he describes there exactly what you see on your coin as Master Die Doubling.

The R isn't a doubled die either, no extra thickness, no notching. That 'separation' there looks to be a striking issue, it was not fully struck up there.
