The US Mint's website for the U.S. Coast Guard 2.5 Ounce Silver Medal says "A U.S. Coast Guard 1 oz. Silver Medal with the same design will be available next year". I do not normally collect medals, but I LOVE the design on this one. Has anyone heard about the smaller (cheaper) 1 oz?

Next is now this year. The 2.5 ounce medal was sold in 2021. The one ounce is tentatively scheduled for summer 2022. It's a beautiful medal and worthy of your interest.

All six of the US Armed Forces medals will eventually be released in a one-ounce silver format.

If I were to buy any of them, it would be the one ounce versions. Mostly for budget reasons.
