Need an accurate grade on this coin if possible, And I have a question, What is that red stuff that is all over the coin, and does it affect it's grade/value? Thanks.
The grade looks F alright. The red stuff is most probably Vermilion (Sindoor in Hindi language). In India we have a tradition of marking accounting books with vermilion using coins as dies to mark beginning of new accounting year. Some religious rituals also takes place where coins are dipped in vermilion. These coins are then washed and let loose in circulation again but that red stuff remains trapped in the devices and legends of the coins. Different parts of the country got different rituals.
