Numismatists, I got both coins for 32 dollars, they still have a lot of detail, they could be between AU55 - MS61.

I liked the colorful toning they have.

The most noticeable detail is the hole, although it does not affect the letters too much.

Was it correct to pay this price for both coins knowing that the price without the hole would be $280-350 for the shilling and $75-80 for the half real?

Best Regards
-Chris

I think $16 for the shilling is okay - it's beautiful, and the hole isn't too big.
