I'm apologizing ahead time , this my 1st posting. So go easy on me.
I started getting my coins in order, so I could see what all I had. Haven't looked at most of them in years.
Started with pennies and I found this 1956 Wheat penny that had obvious errors. I tried a little research but there are so many people out there posting things that send you in a hundred different directions and most of what I find I know isn't correct.
So, I'm asking if anyone has one or knows about it.
How are the images?
With many thanks, AnneMarie

what you are seeing are not errors, simply damaged.

Yep, , as the above replies mentioned, just post mint damage, error-ref.com is a great site to check out legitimate errors.

Thank you all very much for your help.
Please bear with me but I've got a few more things on this coin.
Therim on obverse side is noticeably higher than reverse side.
The edge of penny has a spot that is thinner than the rest of it.
Could either of those two things PMD? I thanks again, AnneMarie

Every flaw you see here is due to damage, normal planchet tolerances, or environmental toning. It has no numismatic value, sorry.

@ Coinfrog, dont be sorry. I'm not. Lol
I've had a lot of my coins given to me and most have been in a box in my closet for 22yrs.
I thank you all for the help. I greatly appreciate it.
